I happened upon Sithara by Sriya through a friend and was immediately intrigued. Here was a line of fashion that emphasized western laid-back attitude on the skeleton of Desi class and elegance. And it was designed by a young Desi woman.

 

Sithara by Sriya is dedicated to “preserving diversity while celebrating authenticity,” which is why I felt like it would be the perfect space for me to explore this intersection between Western and Desi fashion, while also navigating my own relationship with both cultures.
