The Civil Ceremony

Husband & Wife.

With everything happening in the world, we had to postpone our Indian Ceremony to a later date.

However, after giving it some thought, we decided to have our civil ceremony to honor the original muhurtham (auspicious time).

It all came together so quickly - hiring a photographer/videographer, hair & makeup team, getting our marriage license at the courthouse,

setting up the temple hall for the ceremony, picking out our outfits...all of it.

I wore a saree I fell in love with in India - designed the blouse & got it stitched to fit me perfectly.

Veer's outfit was picked the night before - we had a simple white kurta set & I asked him to pair it with a blue shawl.

I wanted to go for a simple & elegant look - the hair & makeup team did an absolutely amazing job bringing this vision to life.

We exchanged garlands while our family showered us with rose petals, exchanged rings + signed the marriage license right at 9:14 AM.

It was an intimate & wholesome ceremony.

We then did a quick photo + video shoot with our families & changed into western wear to continue the shoot at the Myriad Gardens in Oklahoma City.

Kara & Jeremy at The Choate House are an insanely talented couple and knew exactly how to preserve the most beautiful memories..

They focused on the important details & captured the special candid moments.

They made the process full of excitement, positivity, and fun!
